Ticker Tape Grandma

"Grandma began investing in the stock market in 1902. She'd park my mother's baby carriage outside the brokerage firm's window, and peer inside to watch the ticker tape."

Can't you picture it?

Rachel's grandmother was her biggest role model. She was a  smart cookie who took risks.

"Grandma invested well into her nineties. Her broker would pick her up every weekday and drive her to his firm. She'd sit watching the ticker tape until the daily close of the market."

This is one story Rachel shared in her family love letter. Her children and grandchildren would know the character of this great woman who they would never meet, but who may be a lot like her.

Sharing stories honors the people who came before us and links the generations.
